From the moment you set foot on the jetty at Shute Harbour to the time you arrive at the islands, timber from Grays can be found throughout the region’s tourism developments. From Hayman Island’s first hotel to the beginnings of Hamilton Island in the 1970s, Grays provided timber and roof trusses for construction.
Grays have supplied timber for some of Australia’s finest buildings, the latest of which is qualia on Hamilton Island. The architect chose Kwila and New Guinea Rosewood for the floors and ceilings to help create this superb six-star Australian resort. Grays also supplied the decking for the Coral Coast walkway in Airlie Beach and has an on-going relationship with many businesses in the Whitsundays.
